Just Do It!

| LET THERE BE LIGHT |
I really can't be sure if I've made wise choices; but I do know that I've never regretted any. Good, bad, or ugly, life is meant to be lived and relished—remember the good times, learn from the bad times. After all, what doesn't kill us can only make us stronger. Cliché as it may sound, every cloud has a silver lining.
While stepping into the final years of High School, Zoology interested me the most and triggered my decision to opt for Science. I was an average student. I detested Physics, I looked forward to Chemistry practicals, and I squirmed away from Zoology practicals. Sadly, soon after the initial Zoology practicals, it dawned on me that perhaps this was not the best choice I'd made. I graduated in Arts thereafter. But no regrets. I'm glad I made the choices I did. I knew that even though it was just two years of Science, it'd certainly come in handy. It did. I work at a place where Science is the core backdrop. Limited knowledge, yes, but it's seen me through perfectly. Learned a lot; yet, miles to go before I sleep.
I'd like to believe that my decisions are as spontaneous as I am. I like it that way. I do not spend a lot of time sweating over the consequences. Whatever it is, if it feels right, I follow it through. Some things in life are better tried and tested, than left wondering. I recall this person who was bent upon getting my Tarot cards read—nosy enough to know what my future holds. Well, it's none of his business anyway. And he seemed a tad disappointed and astounded by my response. All I had to say was: "I don't want to know what lies ahead and be spent over being extra cautious, or let things get to me. My life is a gift just the way it is now; I wouldn't want to change a thing. I love to watch the mystery unfold. I don't want a Tarot reader or an astrologer to take that magic away from me. Life is meant to be a mystery; let it be. Live it, love it. Toy with it. As for the past, I really don't care; it's done with and it's over."
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
